With the growing installed base of 3800 Die Bonder customers and the long-standing presence of the 8000 Wire Bonder across the APAC region, the need for quicker turn-around and access to service support is invaluable to regional customer success. Palomar Technologies Asia has recently expanded into a Singapore-based demonstration laboratory in order to support increasing demand for in-person 8000 Wire Bonder and 3800 Die Bonder demonstrations for APAC customers. Providing customer-focused private bonder demonstrations has always been part of Palomar Technologies’ niche identity. This unique one-on-one service is now available regionally to APAC companies.
This laboratory center is equipped with the latest Palomar wire and die bonders and other related microelectronics test equipment to support machine demonstration, application program development and buy-offs of completed machines. With the establishment of the center in Singapore, our Asian customers are no longer limited to fly long hours to the Palomar HQ factory in Carlsbad, California, in order to complete required tasks in program and system refinement.
The new demonstration laboratory is outfitted with applications and process development capabilities for both wire bond and die attach. Expert Palomar Technologies Field Service Engineers and Technical Liaisons will continue to lead demonstrations. The laboratory is also a site for APAC organizations to participate in Bonder Boot Camp training courses.
Bonder Boot Camp offers comprehensive die bonder and wire bonder system training from Palomar Technologies experts. Standard and advanced training courses are available, both offering small class sizes for maximum hands-on experiences and one-on-one attention from instructors. Bonder Boot Camp courses are designed for Palomar Technologies engineers to share decades of systems, process and application development expertise in real-life laboratory environments.
The location of the Singapore lab also simply relieves the stresses of business travel to keep your APAC team more productive. Getting a visa to travel to America can sometimes be a hassle for some living in Asian countries. On the contrary, coming to Singapore can be a less stressful, even when a visa is required. And the traveling time is simply much shorter--little to no jet lag! And hence, be more productive and effective during the day when working one-on-one with our engineers.
Palomar Technologies Asia has also beefed up the spare parts services in the newly established spare part depot in Singapore. This depot will be able to ship parts that are available in stock within 24-hours upon receipt of order. With such a large inventory in the depot, we are in the position to better assist with preventive maintenance (PM) contracts for Asian customers. The annual PM contract can be structured in such a way that it meets PM practice of a customer. It is usually performed once a quarter or four times a year.
